Peggy has had 35+ years of experience working with children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Henderson County, NC. She started her career as a group home manager at the age of 19 and then continued to serve her community as a paraprofessional, AFL provider, and advocate for individuals with I/DD. She worked through the top providers in the area including Trend Mental Health, United Cerebral Palsy of NC, The Arc of NC, Turning Point Services and Easter Seals of NC before co-founding Hope Academy in 2007.
